Do you like wine? Want to know more about wines or try new tastes?
We are a friendly and lively group who share an interest in drinking wine. None of us are experts – we just like what we drink.
The focus of this group is learning more about the wines we know and love, trying out different wine varieties and the occasional visit to a Local vineyard to taste and see.
If you like wine and would like to know more this is the group for you. If your are an expert on wine or a retired vigneron this is also for you. We all learn from each other.
We meet 6 times a year (January, March, May, July, September & November) in the coffee lounge at the Daventry Community Centre. We each pay £5.00 into a central kitty to cover the cost of the room hire, the wine and the nibbles. We mostly average 12 members at a meeting and taste 3 or 4 different wines. Only a sip though; we are very careful on the ‘drink driving rules’. See the full proposed programme and dates below.
